Rockwood Kennels

Rockwood Kennels is a full service Kennel. We train Pointing Breeds of all ages to help them obtain skills that are required to be a great hunting companion. We use low pressure and positive reinforcement training techniques whenever possible.I believe that a good dog, should be an enthusiastic dog that enjoys what it is doing. We train mainly for the upland bird hunter, and also for the NAVHDA testing programs and AKC Hunt tests. We also do obedience training for all breeds. The owners will also receive training on how to handle the dog to insure the dog understands and cooperates once the dog is home. The owners will also learn how to enforce commands that the dog already knows. This can be done with the dog staying at the kennel or can be done on a one on one basis here at the kennel for an hourly rate. Reservations are required.

We board dogs also, by the day or month. Our new kennel has a limited number of runs to insure that all dogs are well taken care of and receive plenty of exercise and attention. The kennels are inside/outside runs that are 4ft. X 12ft.and have privacy panels both inside and outside to keep stress on the dog to a minimum. The outside runs are under roof to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for the dog even during periods of bad weather. The kennel is heated with radiant in floor heat to provide a safe, clean and comfortable atmosphere for your dogs in the winter months with no chance of deadly carbon monoxide and is AIR Conditioned during the summer for the dogs comfort.

We are located in a beautiful and secluded setting, a place your dog is both safe and comfortable. We also do pickups and deliveries for those that are short on time.
